What should you consider when looking for a consultant?

Take five minutes to think about the following points:

  • What is to come?
    You feel how closely linked your decisions are and recognize the complexity of the situation.
    The consultant should look at the situation from different perspectives and unveil causal directions, thus identifying success potential.
  • What is the first step?
    There are many possibilities, but what is your goal?
    The consultant gives you orientation and, even more, he is familiar with the process, so his approach is methodical, systemic and structured.
  • What is Your Plan?
    This is a powerful change, and nothing is as it was before. What can you build on in the future?
    Consultants do not think in terms of short-term success, but rather look for long-term, integrated strategies.
  • Who can you confide in?
    The next decisions you make need to be the right ones.
    The consultant must feel enough empathy to be able to understand what you are going through, but he must also feel enough sympathy to win your trust. And most importantly, he must have a great deal of professional experience and wisdom.
